Sponsor a Student. Educate a Leader
The CIS Student Sponsorship Programme supports students whose financial circumstances may otherwise prevent them from continuing tertiary Islamic education. Through Salaam by G.I.S.E.R, sponsors help students complete their studies and prepare for service to their communities.
For the 2026-2027 programme, the sponsorship materials identify 115 students, 59 fully sponsored and 56 seeking sponsorship. Securing the Education Foundation Package for these 56 students requires GHS 1,120,000.
Sponsorship Packages
Every sponsorship begins with education. Once education is secured, donors may add accommodation, feeding and healthcare support, or provide Full Annual Sponsorship.

The full package covers the September-June academic period. All sponsorship amounts include a 10% contribution towards programme administration and delivery; this is not added again.
Pooled Education Sponsorship Fund
Donors may contribute any amount. Contributions are pooled to secure education sponsorships for students with demonstrated financial need.
Duration and flexible payments
Sponsor a student for one academic year, with the first opportunity to renew for the same student, or commit to supporting the student through the four-year academic journey. Rates are reviewed for each academic year to reflect approved programme costs.

Selection, reporting and privacy
Student selection includes an application and financial-needs review, interview, supporting documentation and recommendations. Sponsors may support a specific eligible student or allow
Salaam/CIS to allocate support where the need is greatest.
Sponsors receive formal sponsorship confirmation, an appropriate student profile and photograph, academic results/transcripts, an annual progress report and a graduation/completion update. Donor
recognition remains private unless consent is given. Donor-student communication and reporting are coordinated through Salaam/CIS.
How to Sponsor
Below are the steps to sponsor a student, from choosing your preferred support option and payment arrangement to confirming your contribution and receiving sponsorship updates.
Step 1 - Choose your support
Select Education Foundation, add-on support, Full Annual Sponsorship or a pooled contribution.
Step 2 - Indicate your preference
Identify an eligible student or request allocation according to need, and indicate one-year or through-graduation support.
Step 3 - Choose a payment arrangement
Select the applicable annual or instalment arrangement with Salaam/CIS.
Step 4 - Make payment
Use the CIS Paystack link or QR code below, or the bank-transfer details provided.
Step 5 - Confirm your contribution
Send payment confirmation and your preferred sponsorship option to Salaam by G.I.S.E.R.
Step 6 - Receive confirmation and updates
Salaam/CIS confirms the sponsorship arrangement, acknowledges the payment and coordinates the agreed reporting.
